Ciorcal na mBan translates to women’s circle. Magic happens when women come together with open hearts and clear intentions. According to the Celtic wheel of the year, Imbolc is one of the cross quarter days, about half way between Winter Solstice and Spring Equinox, marking the coming of spring. The word "imbolc" means "in the belly of the Mother," because the seeds of spring are beginning to stir in the belly of Mother Earth.
Imbolc is also associated with the Irish goddess turned Catholic saint, Brighid who is a goddess of many things, including fertility, helping to bring things from the unseen realms into physical realm - babies, animals, poetry, crafts. This is a great time to get clear about what creations we’re looking to birth to life this year and plant metaphorical seeds in the soil to sprout with the coming of spring. We will have a fully female space to connect and tune into our bodies, the goddess within us, and rhythm of the earth, Ireland specifically (that’s where I’ll be hosting the call).
