Meet Brighid
storyteller. artist. adventurer. creatrix. listener. big sister. star-gazer. learner. lover. connector.
In my 20's, I had a life that checked all the boxes - stable career, home, partner but I didn't feel fully alive. I did all the things I was encouraged to do from childhood but still felt a dullness, an emptiness. Like I was just going through the motions and looking outside for everyone else's approval. Even though I enjoyed my work as an educator in K-12 schools and non-profits for many years, following my truth led me to let go of all these roles and identities and venture into the unknown. I spontaneously quit my job and booked a one way ticket abroad, which has taken me through Ireland, Guatemala, Mexico, the Himalayan villages of India & Nepal and it’s been years of living in response to the intuitive calls of sacred lands. Each land teaches me, humbles me, and transform me in unique ways.
What my years of traveling and living around the world continues to remind me is that the most important journey we take is the one from our head to our heart, from our mind to our body and shifting our lens from our conditioning to our truth. I wasn't quite sure what I was looking for when I set out traveling, but what I have found is a deeper connection to myself - my truth, my purpose for being here and I wish for all beings to experience this fulfillment within themselves.
What lights me up?
one way flights, no itinerary. spontaneous dance parties. poetry streaming through me. losing my shoes. live music. mountains. ocean waves that knock me off my feet. coconuts. authenticity. deep belly laughs. the messy parts of life. the chaos that births creativity. uninhibited human expression. love stories in all their shapes and sizes. liberation for all beings. bridging worlds.
I love being in conversation. I love hearing stories from elders, children, everyone in between. The moment when one person shares from their heart and it touches the room in a way that is palpable and can't be packaged or reproduced. The connection, the healing, the humanity that lives in this moment. I cherish these moments, I love curating experiences that draws out more of these moments. More on cultivating connection.
I love sharing the stories that have carved their way through my experiences, sometimes prose, sometimes poetry. Opening my creativity has been such an integral part of my healing journey and I love working with others to tap into this part of themselves. More on cultivating creativity.
I love serving as a witness to others on their healing journeys. To witness another tap into their power and release the blocks that have stood in the way of clarity and ease. There are so many ways to do this and these days breathwork is one of my favorites ways to play. More on cultivating clarity.
Logic can get us so far and then the world of intuition will take us to places our rational mind couldn’t fathom. When we make space for the mystery, the mystery reveals itself to us bit by bit. I love the mystery. and I love accompanying others on their journey. Let's play.
To be holy is to be home, to be able to rest in the belonging that we call the soul.
